Molly-Anna Woods - Creative Director

Molly-Anna is responsible for Telesgop’s English language programming slate, originating and developing ideas for a range of broadcasters.  She has won commissions spanning art, music, specialist factual and observational documentary for the BBC and Channel 4.

She has been twice nominated for Best Director Factual at the BAFTA Cymru awards (2016 and 2018) for the documentaries ‘Swansea Sparkle: A Transgender Story‘ and ‘Sweet Sixteen: A Transgender Story’.

‘Swansea Sparkle: A Transgender Story’ was also nominated for Best Single Documentary.

Her producer and executive producer credits include ‘Turner’s Thames’ with Matthew Collings for BBC FOUR, ‘Wallis Simpson: The Secret Letters’ and ‘Edward VIII’s Murderous Mistress’ for Channel 4 and ‘Tryweryn: 50 years On‘ for BBC Wales.

She has developed, produced and edited a diverse mix of BBC Radio Features at Telesgop, working with presenters, as well as presenting her own including a series on Islam in Wales.

Outside of programming, Molly-Anna takes a key role in setting up and overseeing Telesgop’s UK and international distribution deals.

Prior to joining Telesgop she was a news journalist at the BBC World Service in London, Radio France International and Reuters Television in Paris.
